Comment on "Unique condo tower proposed for Vancouver downtown"

How about a moratorium on towers on the peninsula? Otherwise, developers will continue to build higher towers so that the top floor owners can see over the towers in front of them, until the whole region is skyscrapers and no one will ever know there are mountains and ocean behind them.
It's ironic that the closer you get to the natural beauty that makes Vancouver a desired place to live, the more it is blocked and ruined by towers.
We could provide decent accommodation for everyone here if so much space wasn't wasted by huge single-family houses and mansions, especially on the west side. These can be converted into multi-family condos and townhouses. The city can pass a by-law limiting the square feet per person to a reasonable amount so that space is not hogged by a few.
